Jarmo Peltonen > vocals, guitar - Ari Tuominen > leadguitar - Toni Hannila > drums - Janne Ruohonen > bass, backing vocals - Mad Solders was formed at the end of 2004 in Laitila(Finland) by Jarmo Peltonen(vocals and guitar)and Ari Tuominen(Guitar) . Janne Ruohonen(bass and backing vocal) came about one month later.Toni Hannila(drums) came in to the band about 3 month later(march 2005).Keyboards J.Ahola( studio tracks 2007-2009).Special thanks to Sean Griffin from Rauma city(latest studio tracks No Mans Land and Shadows 2009). All of the bandmembers have experience playing in band before joining Mad Solders. The idea of a band playing rockmusic with a twist of heavymetal lived long in Jarmos head so when he met up with Ari and both owning a guitar they started jamming together. And since both Jarmo and Janne knew each other from the time they lived in Valkeakoski, Janne was the perfect choice for bassguitar. Only one missing was the drummer who was found through his girlfriend who works in the same place as Jarmo. The name Mad Solders comes from Jarmos famous bananaguitar and was actually the idea of our long time studiogod Jykä Ahola. Where we have spent 6 weekends recording songs that hopefully will be compiled to a full album. The music Mad Solders plays is a blending of good old rock n roll with elements from heavier metal. Janne had previously played in a legendary finnish deathmetal band Rippikoulu surely bringing a raw edge to his thundering bassplay. Toni bringing too a metal edge to his drumming mixed with Jarmos and Aris rock background should make an interesting mix. Mad Solders has done a number of gigs, mainly consisting of coversongs and own material, enough to say that we almost know what we are doing.
